REBEL VIOLET
FRAGMENTS
VIOLETTE REBELLE by Charles Berry · 2015
EDP 20%
Green apple, tagetes, and cyclamen open with the vegetal and slightly tart freshness of Norman chalk hills — the air before the flower, the height before the sweetness. The violet leaf in the heart brings its botanical reality: earthy, green, almost damp, the whole plant and not just the flower. The violet arrives later, powdery, tenuous, with cedar to give it body. The chalk at the base is not a metaphor — it is the very rock on which the flower grows, made tangible. Musks and ambroxan extend the sillage with the lightness of a petal carried by the wind. The Rouen violet grows on Norman chalk. There it remains.

Forgotten scent of violet,
Resurgence of the past, courtly love, tender gestures, caresses of the beloved
Soothing reveries of a languid countryside
A perfume whispered always from the lips, hidden in the heart of our daydreams, our secret passions, a small splash of colour in the meadow,
A veil of soft velvet and floral scents, a memory of rice powder, of icing sugar mixed with confectionery of antiquated souls, a vaporous silhouette and the whiteness of skin, a shy smile at the first kiss,
Time of innocence, of a cherished essence, held for a while, that one never wants to leave.
Olfactory nostalgia hidden in a small handkerchief, to be breathed once eyes are closed, when night falls and leaves us alone again. Found scent of violet,
Comfort now.
